Retailer education is a passion for Charmaine. Seeing the ‘lights go on’ around the room when her audience begins to understand the “why” & “how” of the various components of retailing – from visual merchandising, display, marketing, customer service, leadership & managing people is what drives her.
Courses are always customised to the client, their situation and the audience in the room, although her methodology remains constant and delivery style is consistently engaging.

Charmaine has developed and delivered education courses for various clients – from retailers, to brands, agencies and associations such as the Australian Retailers Association. Charmaine has also appeared as a guest speaker to deliver short education modules at annual retailer events, such as Reed Gift Fairs.

“We brought Charmaine in to facilitate a session on visual merchandising at our sales conference, to build a consistent foundation for our team on how to bring our products to life in the retail environment. Her enthusiasm and passion for the subject was infectious, her session highly entertaining and lifted the conference and our sales team’s engagement.

With a solid focus on the theory, it reset our teams thinking on the “why” to do VM and the “how” to do it to interrupt the shopper effectively. A recommendation from Charmaine to focus the back half on a workshop session was a welcome break to the conference routine and ensured we all put in to practice what we had learnt. It was a delight to see the standard of our visual merchandising improve measurably in the months following.”
